STOP!!!!!!

Running one simple stop sign can forever change your life! Even though stopping at a stop sign seems pretty simple to understand, many people don't quite understand that STOP means STOP!

On this home page, we will introduce ways to prevent accidents.

Make Safety a Reality Don't Be a Fatality

Emergency rooms are becoming overcrowded with people who are seeking treatment that really do not know what equates as an actual emergency. According to the National Highway Safety Administration, " A disturbing statistic related to emergency room care is about 60 percent of those treated are involved in preventable accidents. "

A major problem facing the emergency care is overcrowded emergency rooms. The demand on most major emergency rooms is about 133 percent beyond planned capacity.

The National Association of Trauma Specialist leadership is committed to the idea that the best solution to the emergency care problem is to prevent the need for it.

NATS will be distrubuting a brochure that is geared towards informing people about the necessary steps to be taken so that emergency care might not be needed which would inevitably reduce overcrowding of emergency rooms.

The reason that people should care about the overcrowding of emergency rooms from preventable accidents or injuries is because physicians are becoming over worked which is a very serious problem. Another reason is people who actually need medical care are not able to obtain it because of the overcrowding.

NATS is on a mission and that mission is to not only inform people about the ER problems, but to also educate them on how to prevent accidents that could land them in the emergency room. Our goal is to HELP YOU not  become a statistic.

According to Car accidents.com, in 2005, there were almost 6.5 million automobile accidents in the United States. There are almost five car crashes every hour nationally. Paying attention could greatly reduce that number and save lives.

There are four major factors that contributes to vehicle accidents:

Mechanical Failure
Road Design/Maintenance
Road Condition
Poor Driver performance

95% of all accidents involving motor vehicles-worldwide- include poor driver performance in tandem with one of the other three. Studies from CNN.com have shown that teenagers are the worst at this and maybe that's why car accidents are leading cause of fatalities for them

Its so much easier to prevent accidents than to deal with the painful consequences of a chance encounter. Not only can an accident injure or possibly kill you or someone else, an accident can also hurt you financially. The financial cost of these crashes is more than 230 Billion dollars. Who ever knew that careless driving could be so expensive!
